1. Introduction

AppearIn AI ("we", "our", or "us") operates AppearIn AI products, including our website analysis tools and the AppearIn Writer Network. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use these services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
• Submitted Contact Information: When you enter an email address and website on our homepage or in a free-audit form, we store those details and basic referral information even if you do not finish creating an account.
• URLs You Submit: We collect the website URLs you enter for analysis. These URLs are used to crawl and analyze publicly available web pages.
• Analysis Results: If you are signed in, your analysis results are stored so you can access them from your dashboard.
• Google Analytics and Search Console Data: When a brand owner connects Google Analytics or Google Search Console, we receive the connected Google account email, OAuth credentials, selected property information, and read-only reporting data needed for the integration. This can include traffic, engagement, acquisition channels, campaigns, landing pages, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, search position, search queries, and pages.
• Writer Network Applications: If you apply to the Writer Network, we collect the contact details, languages, topic expertise, writing samples, availability, public community-profile details, and confirmations you submit.
• Verification and Work Records: We collect public profile URLs, profile verification codes and status, accepted assignments, submitted URLs, screenshots, notes, review decisions, the fixed payout offered for an assignment, earnings status, preferred payout method, a masked payout-destination label, and payout references. We never ask for your community-platform password, banking password, PIN, or OTP.
• Usage Data: We may collect standard usage data such as browser type, device information, and pages visited to improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the AppearIn AI service
• To analyze the websites you submit and generate optimization reports
• To save your analysis history when you are signed in
• To authenticate your identity via Google Sign-In
• To follow up about an audit, incomplete signup, or AppearIn AI services you expressed interest in
• To show connected website and search reporting in the relevant private workspace
• When you request a Search Console-informed suggestion, to use only the relevant reporting data to generate that requested result
• To assess Writer Network applications, verify control of public profiles, match eligible writers with assignments, review submitted work, prevent abuse, and maintain earnings and payout records
• To communicate with you about service updates if necessary

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google: Google processes OAuth authorization, token issuance and revocation, and Google Analytics and Search Console API requests.
• Vercel and Neon: Our hosting and managed database providers process and store encrypted OAuth credentials, integration settings, reporting caches, and workspace data on our behalf so we can operate the service.
• Anthropic: When you request an AI-generated insight or a Search Console-informed suggestion, the URL, page content, and limited Google Search Console data relevant to that request may be processed through the Anthropic API solely to generate the result shown to you.
• Community Platforms: Writer profile verification and assignment review may require our team to inspect information you have made public on platforms such as Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, or YouTube. Those platforms' privacy policies govern their own processing.
• Payment Providers: If you complete approved Writer Network work, payment may be handled through a separate approved payment process. We store only the payout status, method label, masked destination label, and transaction reference in the Writer Network system. We never store raw bank-account credentials.

Google user data sharing

We disclose Google user data only to Google, Vercel, Neon, and Anthropic for the limited purposes stated above, or to authorities when required by law or necessary to investigate abuse or protect the service. These providers process Google user data only on our behalf to provide or secure AppearIn AI's user-facing features. Community platforms and payment providers do not receive Google Analytics or Search Console data from us.

AppearIn AI's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not otherwise share Google user data, and we do not sell it, use it for advertising, use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending, or use or permit it to be used to train or improve generalized AI or machine-learning models.

5. Commercial and Payout Privacy

Clients purchase service packages from AppearIn AI. Contributor compensation is set separately by AppearIn AI for each assignment; it is not a client-entered budget or a disclosed percentage of a client package.

• Writers see the fixed offered payout before accepting an assignment, but they do not receive the client's package price or AppearIn AI's commercial margin.
• Clients do not receive a writer's assignment payout, earnings history, payout destination, or payment reference through the Writer Network.
• Authorized operations staff may access the records needed to price an assignment, review work, resolve payout issues, and complete payment.
• The writer portal shows payout status and only a masked destination label. Full payment credentials are handled outside the portal through the approved payment process.

6. Data Retention

We retain your analysis data and saved workspace content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Connected Google Analytics and Search Console access tokens are encrypted at rest, and access to Google user data is limited to the systems and personnel that need it to provide or secure the service. When a brand owner disconnects an integration, we revoke the Google authorization and delete the stored tokens and integration report cache. Previously generated or saved workspace content may remain until the workspace or account is deleted. Writer Network records are retained as reasonably necessary to review applications and work, administer payments, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations. A verified writer may be asked to keep the public verification code visible for 30 days after verification. Proof screenshots are stored privately and shared with authorized reviewers through time-limited links. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email address below; some records may need to be retained where required by law or legitimate business obligations.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Opt out of any marketing communications
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
