Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This policy describes refund and cancellation terms for purchases made on AppearIn AI ("the Service"), including monthly and yearly subscription plans, one-shot audit credits, and modular add-ons. By making a purchase you agree to the terms below.

2. One-shot audit purchases

One-shot audit credits (single audit, 6-pack) are non-recurring purchases that grant a fixed number of audit credits to your account.

  • Full refund: If no credits from the purchase have been consumed and the request is made within 7 days of payment, we refund the full amount.
  • Partial refund: If only some credits have been consumed and the request is made within 7 days of payment, we refund the unused portion at the per-credit price (₹1,499 for single audit, ₹1,166 per credit for 6-pack).
  • No refund after 7 days: Once 7 days have passed from the purchase date, audit credits are non-refundable, regardless of how many remain unused.
  • Audit credits do not expire and remain on the account until consumed or refunded.

3. Subscription plans

Monthly and yearly subscriptions (Starter, Growth, Scale) auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

  • First-time refund window: If you cancel within 7 days of your first charge on any subscription plan, we refund the full amount of that first charge.
  • No pro-rated refunds for partial months: Outside the 7-day window, partial-month or partial-year usage is not refundable. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then.
  • Yearly plans: The 7-day refund window applies to the first yearly charge only. Yearly renewals after the first year are non-refundable; cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge.
  • Failed payments: If a renewal payment fails, your account moves to a 7-day grace period. If payment isn't resolved within that window, the subscription is paused and prompt tracking stops. Data is retained for 30 days before deletion.

4. Add-ons

  • Add-ons (additional prompts, engines, Agent Analytics, Multi-country, Looker connector, Public API, Priority Slack) are billed monthly alongside your subscription.
  • The same 7-day first-charge refund window applies to each newly purchased add-on.
  • Cancelling an add-on takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.
  • Removing an add-on does not refund partial-month usage.

5. How to cancel

You can cancel any subscription or add-on in two ways:

  • From your account: visit Billing and use the cancel option on the relevant subscription.
  • By email: write to sales@appearin.ai from the email address on your account. Include your subscription ID or the email used at signup.

We process cancellations within one business day. You'll receive an email confirmation once it's done.

6. How to request a refund

Email sales@appearin.ai from the email on your account with:

  • The order or subscription ID (visible in Billing or your Razorpay receipt).
  • The reason for the refund (helps us improve).

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Razorpay and typically appear within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

7. Non-refundable scenarios

Refunds are not issued for:

  • Audit credits or subscription periods consumed beyond the 7-day window.
  • Subscription renewals (monthly or yearly) outside the first-charge refund window. Cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge.
  • Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service.
  • Custom Enterprise contracts, which are governed by the refund terms in the signed agreement.

8. Service interruptions

If a documented Service outage affects your account, we may issue service credits or extend your billing period at our discretion. Contact sales@appearin.ai with details if you believe an outage materially impacted you.

9. Chargebacks

We strongly prefer that you contact us first before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most refund disputes can be resolved within one business day directly. Chargebacks initiated without prior contact may result in account suspension while the dispute is investigated.

10. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
